Carmelo Aviles, 40, was arrested and charged with one felony count of first-degree murder and four felony counts of aggravated discharge of a firearm.

Chicago police said the shooting happened just after 7:30 p.m. in the 900 block of W. Eastwood Avenue. According to investigators, a male victim of unconfirmed age was shot in the leg by an unknown suspect. The victim was taken to Illinois Masonic Hospital where he later died.
