The jackpot was last won on Dec. 7 when a New York lottery player won a $256 million Powerball jackpot. Meanwhile, the Mega Millions jackpot is at $1.15 billion for Tuesday's drawing - the fifth largest ever - with a cash option of $516.1 million, according to the Mega Millions website.

Mega Millions drew the numbers for a jackpot worth an estimated $1.22 billion late Friday. The numbers were 3, 7, 37, 49, 55 and the gold Mega Ball 6. At least one Mega Millions player has plenty of dough to ring in the New Year after drawing the winning number.

While no one took home the jackpot, smaller prizes were awarded to several lucky players across the state.
