Pitcher Alex Cobb has been dropped from the Cleveland Guardians AL Championship Series roster after getting hurt in the opener and has been replaced by fellow right-hander Ben Lively, the team’s winningest pitcher during the regular season.

The Guardians petitioned MLB to have Lively replace Alex Cobb, who started Game 1 of the ALCS on Monday night, but left with left hip and back pain after 2 2/3 innings in a 5-2 loss to the Yankees. A few hours before the start of Game 2 on Tuesday, MLB approved the move.
