The Air India plane that crashed in Ahmedabad on June 12 was a Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft. As per a report, Air India had 34 Boeing 787 airframes in its fleet before the crash.

After an Air India plane with over 242 passengers onboard crashed on Thursday, the Gujarat ATS has recovered a DVR from the debris of the plane site.

Rupani was among the 242 people aboard the doomed Flight AI171 that took off from the Ahmedabad airport on June 12 and was en route to London's Gatwick airport. The BJP leader was on his way to meet his daughter in the British capital.
